Dear Mr. President
I have high respect towards you as one of the great scientists India ever had. You were the master mind behind the nuclear programme of India and eventhough the BJP was misusing you for their own political benefits and to boost their 'nationalistic image', I was kind of happy when Pokhran happened. It is not because I am a war lover, but considering the threatening situations in the continent and the 'big brother' was too keen to eliminate nuclear weapons from the face of earth while having their own huge collection of the nuclear toys, I thought it would be of national interest to showcase some from here. I sincerely hope that we will not have to use the nuclear power on anyone or any country and use it for the energy purposes.
When you were elected as the President of India, I thought your works for the country were being paid, eventhough you were again being misused for the political benefits of BJP. Like another fellow citizen mentioned:
In fact, BJP wouldn’t have supported any other Muslim candidate. They supported Kalam because he was considered as the father of India’s nuclear program (I have reservations against this title for him and it is for another post in the future) and he reads Hindu texts like Bhagwat Gita. There was no chance for BJP to support any other Muslim candidate. They just supported Kalam, in spite of him being a Muslim, because they can then tout their national security credentials (without actually being not responsible for any of the Indian nuclear program).
You have done a good job that you were supposed to do being the president of India just like the former position holders. One thing I liked about you is that you kept talking about the future of India. But as we all know, you cannot do much about it being in the position of President of India. I think you can do much much better things for India coming out of that position. By calling you for a second term for the presidentship, the nation is actually wasting a very good talent that would be useful off the president's chair.
And dear sir, I must say that I am very much dissapointed to see that you are falling prey for the politicians and I can't believe that you just said that you would like to contest for a second term if the victory is secured. I think you just demeaned yourself to an ordinary politican by this statement. Please get off that chair sir, go back to what you do the best or travel around India motivating the youth of India. You will be better remembered that way in the future.
Yours truly,
A fellow Indian.

Ha..ha..thatz it...its sad to see these statues are gettin broken. It was happenin same for TN Sheshan.!
Very narrow minded view there ... Yeah supporting a muslim candidate also gives BJP a bad name.. how low you can go on your thoughts? Instead of commending them for this bold decision bigots have found way to still mallign the only rational party of India .. Well maybe i m forgetting that you are one of those who would refuse to acknowledge the God if he/she/they appear in front of you .. what a shame! .
